Umm...Did this really happen?
How come this didn't get reported OR please let me know if it did:
The computer network for Homeland Security's Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services went offline all over the United States on Friday afternoon, and the network failure continued for a couple of hours at least. Possibly thousands of international passengers were processed manually, and they were asked questions like "are you involved in illegal activity?"
Granted, this is from one source, who was a stranded international traveller in Dulles Airport, and this was the explanation given over the loudspeakers by the immigration authorities for the delay.
But I can't find a reference to it. Please help.
